Dr. Cusma has been practicing optometry in the Scotia-Glenville, NY area since 1976. Our office is handicapped accessible and fully equipped with modern state-of-the-art examining and treatment equipment and instrumentation.
Residents of Scotia-Glenville, NY have visited Larry Cusma OD for their primary care vision needs for over 30 years. Dr. Cusma is licensed by New York state to provide full-scope optometric care, including the diagnosis and treatment of eye pathology, such as conjunctivitis, glaucoma, and ocular allergies.
Pediatric vision care, contact lens fitting and analysis, and routine examination of the eye for the correction of refractive errors, such as myopia and astigmatism are all integral parts of his practice.
Dr. Cusma received his Bachelor of Science degree from King’s College in Pennsylvania and his Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) from The Ohio State University. He is an active member of the American Optometric Association and a founding member of the American Optometric Society. He is currently serving as the communication liaison for the NY State Optometric Association. In addition, Dr. Cusma is an affiliate member of TLC Laser Eye Center, and works closely with their doctors to provide pre- and postoperative care.
Dr. Cusma practices full scope optometry, treating refractive errors, eye diseases (such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, dry eyes) and plays an integral role in the management of diabetes, monitoring for any signs of retinopathy or vision loss. He is continually updating his diagnostic and refractive equipment, purchasing the latest in optometric technology to ensure the best possible care for all of his patients.
He lives in Ballston Spa with his wife, has a son and daughter, and is the proud grandfather of 3 granddaughters.
Dr. Halpin is from North Haledon, New Jersey and attended Siena College and SUNY College of Optometry in Manhattan. During optometry school she completed clinics at Hudson Valley VA Hospital and Keller Hospital at West Point. Her special interests in optometry include low vision and orthokeratology.
Living in Saratoga Springs with her husband and two dogs, Dr. Halpin enjoys biking, running, hiking, camping, and volunteering. She is currently involved in Saratoga Chamber of Commerce Leadership Saratoga class of 2017. She is a member of Terra Nova Church in Saratoga Springs, involved in the NYS Optometric Association, and is a volunteer at Franklin Community Center Food Pantry.
You will find a welcoming, knowledgable staff upon your visit to the office. The chances are that faces will look familiar as many of the staff members have been with Dr. Cusma for a number of years.
To provide the most proficient and convenient service to our patients, staff includes an office manager, optician, ophthalmic assistants, and administrative assistants.
